The Arizona Department of Public Safety, as the state repository, utilizes a Titan High Speed Scanner to process incoming batches of arrest and applicant fingerprint cards.  The demographic information is entered by hand into a computerized demographic database.  The Titan scanner processes 200 cards per hour sending the fingerprint images into the AFIS system and reads the barcode labels on the cards.  The AFIS system then matches the pre-inputed demographic data to the fingerprint images on the barcoded cards creating a complete electronic file.
